Author Bio:
Sue Young is a bilingual storyteller, performing singer songwriter, children’s librarian, and Spanish teacher. She has been on a horse a handful of memorable times. Her debut picture book COURAGEOUS COWGIRLS, publishes October 27, 2026 with TCU Press. This nonfiction book features the stories of 12 gutsy gals who ran ranches, rode cattle trails, raced in rodeos, faced down federales, and more.
Sue is a member of the Texas Commission On The Arts Roster. Texas presenters can apply for a grant to bring her to their non profit or government organization. She has brought her bilingual (English/Spanish) programs to thousands of kids at schools, libraries and festivals around Texas and the US. Sue plays in a Folk/American duo called Young & Rusty, with her husband. She is active in SCBWI, and Courage to Create. Sue lives in Austin with her husband, one cat, and lots of guitars.
