children through these audience-tailored workshops that
explore the art of storytelling and songwriting.
Bring
The Tale To Life
Learn to
make folktales, legends, historical and personal stories
come alive for your listeners.
Songwriting Is Fun!
Find your voice, unleash your creative power and write your
own songs. Wonderful fun for all ages.
Singing 101
Did your siblings make fun of your voice? Did your music
teacher tell you to just mouth the words? This workshop
is for those who think they "can't sing" (I haven't met
any one yet who truly cannot sing). Learn to use your voice
and sing with confidence through simple and fun vocal exercises
and games. Great for educators, librarians and parents who
would like to sing with their children.
Especially for Kids:
Kids Are Storytellers
Children will learn to expand their natural storytelling
abilities and will select, write and tell folktales and
personal stories.
Especially for Teachers:
Music and song are an indispensable part of the classroom.
Songs ease transition time, communicate information and
values, provide structure and routine and can help shape
the moods and energy of the class. Music is an essential
part of the child's development. Studies suggest that that
the use of music enhances linguistic, logical-mathematical,
spatial, bodily-kinesthetic, inter-personal and intra-personal
intelligence. Here are two workshops to help you to use
songs skillfully in your classroom.
