BACKGROUND:

Sue has performed since 1977 as a singer/songwriter/guitarist, and she's been telling stories to audiences of all ages since 1994. She has been called "a true Spanish Raffi", a "storyteller par excellence" and "an angelic voice". Her song "Hablando y Escuchando - Talking and Listening" was a winner in the 1994 Songs of Conscience for Children Songwriting Competition. Her 2007 CD Release “The Legend Of The Quetzal – Tales and Tunes Of Latin America” received a Parents’ Choice Silver Honor Award and a Creative Child Seal Of Excellence and she wrote the 2009 theme song for the Texas Summer Reading Club. Sue has a B.A. in Spanish and has taught children's Spanish classes since 1987. As a member of Trio Americano, she performed music of North, Central and South America during the early 80's in New Mexico. She has lived in Quito, Ecuador and presently resides in Austin, Texas.
